Fresh Local Veg

Steve has had many years of horticultural experience.  He started in a small way growing a great range of veg and selling at the produce auction at  Wareham Market.  We now take great pride in providing a range of produce that we have either grown ourselves or traded for locally with other small scale growers. We grow our veg in an organic way, avoiding all artificial pesticides or fertilizers etc.  We have been running a small stall at weekends on Portland for the past year and the locals return again and again because they realy taste the difference compared to the supermarkets.  We also try as far as possible to keep our prices competitive and are often cheaper then the big suppliers.

Our Saturday morning Veg Stall is held in Victoria Square on Portland every week. We are there between 8.30am to 1.00.  We sell some lovely veg, jams and chutneys.  If you would like to order any Portland Hogget or Mutton, phone or email and we can bring it along with us for you to pick up.

'Freddy', one of our regular, Portland customers recomends the carrots!

At the botton of our farm track  at Milton Abbas, we also have a selection of veg for sale during the week.  This is normally on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

No artificial fertilizers on our land, just wheelbarrows of good home made compost.

We deliver weekly to some local restaurants and are happy to make up orders on request  .

The Crab House Cafe: a fantastic fish restaurant located on the beautiful fleet water, with its own oyster beds.  'The hidden pearl of the south west', serving fresh fish landed locally and daily.  Voted recently as one of the most romantic restaurants in the whole country!

The Blue Fish Cafe: intimate family run restaurant. Lovely imaginative menu, changing regularly using fresh seasonal ingredients.  Very friendly atmosphere, in typical old stone walled Portland building, on the edge of Chesil Beach.
