Arrival Of Ella & Bella.
Our first pair of breeding Saddlebacks arrived on the farm. They were bought from our good friends at Kingston Maurwood College. We have acquired a great pig ark for them and its all cosy with lots of straw. Their paddock is fenced around with electric wire. After a few experimental 'shocks' they are very happy within the large space they can call home. They are fast becoming the best fed pigs in the West thanks to lots of surplus fruit and veg. Its great fun watching them chop noisily through boxes of old tomatoes, carrots and even cherries (stones and all!) Come the spring they will come 'on heat' and we will artificially inseminate them. We are crossing them with a Large White Boar. So Ella & Bella will hopefully have some good litters of piglets for next year.
